A Harvester alien bio-suit maquette from Roland Emmerich's Independence Day. President Thomas Whitmore (Bill Pullman) survived a psychic attack from one of the aliens known as a Harvester in Area 51 and learned of their plan to eradicate life on Earth in order to harvest its resources. Realizing what was at stake, he authorized a nuclear attack only to discover a new obstacle: force fields surrounded the ships. Production created maquettes to develop and finalize the design of the Harvester puppets' bio-suits and were also used as a basis for practical effects.

The alien creature effects, including all of the Harvesters, were designed by effects artist Patrick Tatopoulos, who also served with Oliver Scholl as the film's production designers. Tatopoulos also contributed award-winning creature designs for such films as Emmerich's Godzilla, David Twohy's Pitch Black, and Paul W. S. Anderson's AVP: Alien vs. Predator, among.

This rigid foam maquette is molded around a wire armature. It exhibits cracking on the surface, chipped paint, and the armature is exposed at the waist. Dimensions: 21" x 14" x 8" (53.5 cm x 35.5 cm x 20.5 cm)
