A 25-inch Harvester Attacker spaceship model miniature from Roland Emmerich's Independence Day. Attackers, the primary fighter craft of the alien Harvesters, were deployed from the larger City Destroyer and Mothership spaceships. During the first battle sequence, Captain Steven Hiller (Will Smith) took one Attacker down and captured its pilot, an essential step in saving Earth. This model miniature was used as a background piece.

For visual effects sequences utilizing motion-control photography, model makers at Boss Film Studios crafted models at two scales: 48" (122 cm) and 25" (63.5 cm). The smaller-scale Attackers appeared in multiple VFX inserts, including when the alien fleet poured from the Harvester Mothership for their climactic battle with Earth's military. Independence Day's effects team leads ultimately received the Academy Award® for Best Effects, Visual Effects.

This model originates from an effects crew member. Constructed from a mix of media, including polyfoam and cast resin, it is hand-painted, textured, and etched with intricate, multifaceted biomechanical technology around its manta ray-shaped chassis. Following production, the miniature underwent sympathetic restoration to reattach several loose components, including twin winged blaster cannons, as well as to repair points of damage around the ship's exterior.
