A Lament Configuration puzzle box from Clive Barker's horror film Hellraiser. Essential to the film's plot, the Lament Configuration puzzle box created a gateway to a dimension of suffering, and summoned the demonic Cenobites. Frank Cotton (Sean Chapman) purchased the box at the beginning of the film, and it was eventually taken from him by Kirsty (Ashley Laurence), who banished the Cenobites by closing the box. This lot comes from the collection of the production's credited special makeup effects workshop supervisor Geoff Portass.

One of eight boxes produced for the film, the box is made of solid oak and is decorated with ornate brass-etched patterned panels adhered to every side. A layer of varnish is applied all over to produce a slight shine. There are some signs of light scratching, the brass etchings have begun to peel in some places, and there is a dent on one corner where the box was dropped during filming. It is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Portass detailing its history. Dimensions: 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (3" x 3" x 3")
