Hannibal Lecter’s (Mads Mikkelsen) custom-made three piece suit from episode 212 “Tome-wan” of NBC’s award-winning drama Hannibal. Hannibal wears a three piece suit for much of the episode, including when he is strung up in a straitjacket as well as the scene in which he drugs Mason Verger (Michael Pitt).

This costume consists of a three-piece suit including jacket, vest and slacks, a blue and white button down shirt, and a blue and gold paisley tie. The shirt features two small tags on the neck reading “H” and “L” for Hannibal Lecter. The back of collar has been torn and resewn with several tears to the back of the shirt to accommodate rigging wires. These modifications indicate that the shirt was likely used by Mikkelsen when suspended in a straitjacket. The collar features faint evidence of makeup residue, while the ends of the cuffs have been dressed with stage blood.

The three piece suit is a custom creation for the character of Hannibal and is made of checked brown and green cloth. No sizing information is featured. The vest is marked “Hero” in white ink on the inner right hip while the pants read “Stunt 3” along the inner waist also in white ink. The paisley tie is made of 100% Italian silk. The lower portion of the pant legs are stained and stiff from dried stage blood applied during production, but overall the suit remains in great, production-used condition.
