A Piero (Alex Corrado) SFX boar attack bust made for Ridley Scott's 2001 thriller Hannibal. Having escaped custody in Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) finds himself pursued by disgraced FBI Agent Clarice Starling (Julianne Moore) and hunted by one of his disfigured victims, Mason Verger. Although unseen in the final cut of the film, this item was made for the sequence in which Clarice and Hannibal escape from Mason Verger’s boar death trap. When the boars break through the wooden gate, Piero and his colleague are eaten alive by Mason’s boars.

This bust was created in the likeness of Alex Corrado, and features a silicone skin stretched over a biscuit foam frame. Hand-punched hair has been applied over the scalp and face, and acrylic eyes and teeth have been inset into the face. Inside the bust are cable controls which operated Piero’s facial features for his gruesome death, with the two of the cables labeled "upper chin" and "left jaw." The neck of the puppet has been intentionally cut open, revealing a gory interior. This item shows some wear due to production use and age, but remains in overall good used condition.
