Prince Hamlet's (Mel Gibson) sword from Franco Zeffirelli's Hamlet. Hamlet carried his signature sword throughout the film, including when the ghost of his father (Paul Scofield) visited the young prince to reveal that he was murdered by his brother, Claudius (Alan Bates), as well as in promotional materials for the film.

Sourced for the film by renowned U.K. armourer Bapty, this sword features a metal blade, a winged guard, a faux leather grip painted to appear wrapped with cord, and a bell-shaped pommel. It is intentionally distressed by production to appear well-handled with scuffing on the guard and small nicks in the blade. The metal exhibits some tarnishing from age and handling. Dimensions: 38" x 7" x 2" (96.5 cm x 18 cm x 5 cm)
