This is an extremely rare poster. It is believed to be a 16mm Rental House poster distributed after the film's first run. It is also believed to be a promotional print produced in the New York area, as indicated by a review quote from Bob Lape, a movie critic for WABC-TV Eyewitness News in 1977. We believe this poster was printed and distributed in New York.

This extremely rare poster has been folded and has cellophane tape on the corners to cover a single pinhole, as well as small pieces of tape on the back supporting the horizontal fold at the edges. There is a tiny stain in the background, along with some signs of sun fading.

Director John Carpenter's intense horror film not only launched a highly successful franchise, but it also greatly popularized and advanced the slasher genre. Few cinematic stalker-killers have as much impact and longevity as the white-masked Michael Myers.
