An ape suit and underskulls from Hugh Hudson’s drama Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. These pieces were created for use under stunt masks by various stunt actors when portraying apes. This lot features an ape suit constructed from spandex and foam with faux hair punched throughout. The foam padding would provide the performer wearing it with a more muscular and ape-like appearance. The skulls are made from fiberglass and cover just the entire top of the head until just below the eyes. Each skull is marked with the name of the performer who used them. Dimensions (suit): 50” x 20” x 8” (127 cm x 51 cm x 20 cm); Dimensions (skulls, vary slightly): 8” x 6” x 8” (20 cm x 15 cm x 20 cm)
