An exhibition Gizmo puppet made by Chris Walas for the promotion of Joe Dante's horror comedy Gremlins. When Gizmo was exposed to water, he multiplied into more Mogwai, who transformed into the Gremlins that terrorised the town of Kingston Falls.

Special effects artist and credited Gremlin creator Walas constructed this 1:1-scale Gizmo exhibit from cast polyfoam and resin, adding brown-and-white faux fur over the painted skin. The eyes are made of resin.

Walas' work on Gremlins won him the Best Special Effects award at the 1985 Saturn Awards, where the film picked up five wins out of nine nominations. Walas also won the Academy Award for Best Makeup in 1987 for his work on David Cronenberg's horror remake The Fly. Dimensions: 9.5 cm x 26 cm x 25 cm (3.75" x 10.25" x 9.75")
