A gremlin puppet used in the production of Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Taken by a band of crazed scientists, cuddly mogwai Gizmo is subjected to all manner of experiments. Of course, it’s not long before chaos erupts, as Gizmo is covered in water and spawns a new group of mogwai that take over the facility.
This puppet was used during the film’s climax as the frenzied gremlin horde are electrocuted, ending their reign of terror. Made of soft, the puppet has been painted in the distinctive green, yellow and purple of the gremlins, with additional detailing for the mouth and eyes. Foil has been applied around the gremlin’s midsection, waist and ears for visual effects purposes. The brass rod, used to mount the gremlin in place for the sequence, is still present.

Well used on the production, the puppet’s skin has deteriorated slightly with time, however the piece remains in good condition and is presented in a custom framed display featuring the film’s title artwork, two stills from the film and an opening front panel allowing direct access to the piece.
