A Gremlin puppet from Joe Dante’s Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Made of foam latex, the piece features puppetry mechanisms which were used by puppeteers on set though remain untested. The puppet has been brilliantly restored by Brian Penikas, a painter for the film originally, and his team at Make-Up and Monsters Studios. It is presented on its original wooden stand labeled as “Secondary Foreground.” The puppet stands 31” (79cm) tall; the base is 16” x 12” (40.5cm x 30.5cm). This piece shows wear on the back of the neck, where the skin has been broken open, revealing the stuffing inside. Despite this and other small damages to the skin, this item remains in fair condition.
