A dancer's "Greased Lightnin'" jumpsuit from Randal Kleiser's Grease. Dancers wore jumpsuits during the dance daydream sequence in "Greased Lightnin'." In the song, Danny (John Travolta) convinced the rest of the T-Birds that the used battered car (nicknamed Greased Lightnin') Kenickie (Jeff Conaway) bought could be modified to be race-worthy and catch the ladies' attention. They were joined in the sequence by dancers wearing shimmering silver-color jumpsuits.
Forty-seven years after its initial release in June 1978, Grease remains one of the most popular musical films ever, with the soundtrack becoming one of the world's best-selling albums.
Each dancer's jumpsuit was uniquely numbered on the left breast, with this being "12" with "Rydell High School Auto Shop" printed on the back in sparkling silver-color lettering. The jumpsuit features an interior Cotroneo Costume label with "Rosatti Greg" printed on it. It has a front zipper and two closed pockets on the chest.
The poster features four personalized, signed messages to Rosatti from unidentified cast and crew members. It is mounted onto a black posterboard.
The jumpsuit exhibits some discoloration and some plucking to the fabric. The snap closure on the right cuff has come away.
