A male dancer costume from the “Greased Lightning” sequence in Paramount Television’s live musical even Grease Live! Rydell High jumpsuits are removed for blue dance suits when the T-Birds fantasize about racing Greased Lightning.

This lot includes breakaway Rydell High jumpsuits, breakaway dance jumpsuit, and non-breakaway jumpsuit. To film the scene’s quick changes, the regular jumpsuit was worn beneath the dance suit and the top jumpsuit. The Rydell jumpsuits are made of grey/green canvas-like fabric, with four pockets and a zipper on the front, and two back pockets. Stenciled black writing on the back of the jumpsuits reads “Property of Rydell High.” The jumpsuits are heavily distressed by production to appear grease and oil stained. Hidden snaps along the back and inseams of the breakaway suits are designed to be easily undone for the quick costume change needed for the sequence.

The dance jumpsuit is made of metallic blue denim-like material with silver accent stripes throughout. A zipper runs along the chest. This suit also features breakaway snaps along the inseams. All three pieces feature a Muto Little maker’s tag labeled for a background performer. The lot shows light wear but remains in good condition.
