A Zig-Zag soldier uniform from Wes Anderson’s 2014 comedy crime film The Grand Budapest Hotel.

This costume and others like it were worn by the ZZ troops in various scenes throughout the film, most notably when the military has seized the hotel as an army barracks. The costume consists of a black military-style jacket featuring ornate metal buttons, a felt letter ‘7’ adhered to the right shoulders epaulette and an armband around the left sleeve displaying the ZZ emblem. Also included are a pair of woollen trouser wraps and a black peaked hat with a fold-down neck cover that is fastened by two metal buttons and displays the ZZ badge on the front.

The costume shows some wear from production use and storage, including dust and marks on the hat's interior. Otherwise, it remains in an overall excellent condition.
