A Colt M1911 pistol used in the American drama film Gran Torino. After catching his neighbour Thao (Bee Vang) attempting to steal his beloved 1972 Gran Torino, Korean war veteran Walt Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) seeks to reform the youngster and help protect Thao’s family from the gangs that invade their neighbourhood.

Walt Kowalski used his M1911 to threaten the group of teenagers known as the ‘spooks’ after they start harassing Sue (Ahney Her), and is seen carrying it multiple times throughout the film. Cast from one of the hero working pistols used on the film, this very realistic looking static prop weapon is made from a very dense rubber. The majority of the pistol has been finished in black, designed to replicate blued steel, and the grip has been finished in brown with a textured surface. Original production stampings are present in the casting on both the slide and frame, with a serial number of “242153-C” present on the right hand side.

The weapon has some slight markings and light scratches to the paint work and the tip of the hammer has broken through use, however in spite of this wear it remains in overall very good production-used condition.

The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
