Mikey's (Sean Astin) screen-matched map doubloon from Richard Donner's The Goonies. Mikey used a doubloon he found in his attic to match the lighthouse, a rock, and a restaurant to the Goonies' treasure map. This moment was achieved via an insert shot, where the doubloon was shot on a bluescreen and matched up with photography to align it with the lighthouse, rock, and restaurant. It is screen-matched to the doubloon Mikey held in this visual-effects shot based on the organic colouration and the unique scratch mark near the thumb when held.

Sean Astin was awarded a Young Artist Awards® for Best Starring Performance by a Young Actor - Motion Picture in 1986. The Goonies overall was later added to the National Film Registry Preservation Board in 2017.

Made of metal, the doubloon resembles a large coin with three holes. One side resembles a French coin and is stamped with "VINC," "1632," "CHRS," and "REGN" around the perimeter, with crowns and fleur-de-lis in the centre. The opposite side resembles an Elizabeth I sixpence and is stamped with "POSVI," "IVTOR" and a shield crest, with much of the surface intentionally worked away to appear aged. The coin is painted copper in colour, with green and white rust. The doubloon exhibits minor wear from production use. Dimensions: 7 cm x 6 cm x 0.75 cm (2.75" x 2.5" x 0.25")
