Six limited-edition prints of Walter Plunkett's costume design artwork for Victor Fleming's Gone with the Wind, all of which are hand-signed by Plunkett in graphite. Fleming's film won a record-breaking eight of its 13 Academy Award® nominations and is regarded amongst the most historic and acclaimed films ever made. In addition to his legendary work on Gone with the Wind, costume designer Plunkett also created costumes for such classics as George Sidney's The Three Musketeers, Mervyn LeRoy's Little Women, and Stanley Donen and Gene Kelly's Singin' in the Rain.
This set originates from Planet Hollywood. It consists of two framed and three unframed color prints for Scarlett O'Hara's (Vivien Leigh) costumes along with one framed print for Rhett Butler's (Clark Gable). The now-iconic costumes depicted include Scarlett's mourning dress, green White Oaks barbeque dress, green flowing dress made with Mammy (Hattie McDaniel) from Mrs. O'Hara's (Barbara O'Neil) curtains, black-and-white dress from after her marriage to Rhett, and dress for Ashley Hamilton's (Leslie Howard) birthday, as well as Rhett's Red Horse Saloon suit from the scene in which Prissy (Butterfly McQueen) found him to ask his help relocating in Melanie Hamilton (Olivia de Havilland).
