This pair of lobby cards, issued for the film's general release in 1940 following its initial roadshow debut, are also original release cards. While the cards from the roadshow feature artwork of the characters created by Armando Seguso, this set is much more desirable, showcasing beautiful full-color photographic scenes from director Victor Fleming's epic drama. One of these cards shows Scarlet (Vivien Leigh) in the arms of Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard), graded CGC 9.8, and the other depicts Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) with the town "madam," Belle Watling (Ona Munson), graded CGC 9.6. Both cards are in as good, unrestored condition as one could hope to find.

This epic Civil War romance overcame serious production problems to win 10 Oscars (including Best Picture, Best Director for Victor Fleming, and Best Supporting Actress for Hattie McDaniel, the first African American to win an Academy Award) and become the highest-grossing film in history (adjusted for inflation).
