The Golden Child's (J.L. Reate) screen-matched under robe from Michael Ritchie's The Golden Child. The Golden Child wore his signature under robe while Sardo Numspa (Charles Dance) held him hostage throughout the film. Custom decorative Asiatic gold-color and purple lame detailing at several points on the robe screen-match to multiple scenes, including when the Child appeared to Chandler Jarrell (Eddie Murphy) and later when he revived a dead butterfly.

This mesh red fabric robe, a less detailed version lacking such features as the dragon emblem seen on the reverse in some shots, originated from a Butterfield & Butterfield auction. It features cotton-padded red interior lining and gold-color button loop closures on the collar and lower chest. The robe exhibits pilling along the hem, staining to some of the lame, and small tears in the mesh from production wear and handling.
