This study maquette of the Baby Godzilla character was used during the production of Godzilla, the 1998 remake of the classic film, starring Matthew Broderick. The design of the Godzilla creature in the film was inspired heavily by the T-Rex dinosaur. This maquette of the creature was cast in fiberglass and then sawed in half and mounted to a display board, to be utilized for reference by the design team during production. The model was also likely computer scanned during production. Measures approximately 43" x 28" x 5".
