Posters from Buster Keaton's early works are scarce, and this may be one the only extant copy of this stone litho image.

The fold lines and corners of this one-sheet have been touched up. The Tooker Litho logo has been painted, on the lower right corner, and the borders have been airbrushed. The light blue background and Virginia Fox's cheek have been airbrushed. The linen has been trimmed to the edge of the poster.

Produced in 1921 and co-directed by Buster Keaton, The Goat is rated by contemporary audiences as one of Keaton's best short films. The 23-minute short revolves around a case of mistaken identity and Keaton's constant evasion of the cops who give chase.
