Maximus' (Russell Crowe) prototype face mask from Ridley Scott's Oscar®-winning historical epic Gladiator. Maximus wore his mask attached to a helmet during the re-enactment of the famous Battle of Carthage, in which he rallied his desperate team of gladiators against the charioteers. This mask was a prototype and varies slightly from the one seen in the film.

Made of fibreglass, the mask is finished in silver-coloured paint with dark grey and black shades applied to produce a weathered, battle-worn appearance. It features large holes, a nose guard and angular detailing at the cheeks. The mask is lined with padded black leather and comes presented on a custom-made display. There are signs of dirt remnants on the leather lining. Dimensions (displayed): 20 cm x 19 cm x 35 cm (8" x 7 1/2" x 13 3/4")
