A complete Praetorian Guard costume with a hero sword, pilum and shield from Ridley Scott's Academy-award winning historical epic Gladiator. The Praetorian Guard, an elite unit of the Imperial Roman Army, served as the personal bodyguards of Emperor Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).

The costume comprises a foam-padded fibreglass helmet with leather chin straps; plastic lorica segmentata body armour painted to appear metallic, with metal buckles; a purple woollen hooded cloak with matching tunic and trousers; a faux-silver-painted metal-backed resin cloak clasp featuring a lion emblem; a brown leather cingulum with grey plastic armour plating; a pair of plastic bracers; a pair of plastic greaves; and a pair of brown leather boots.

The sword has a metal blade with a wooden hilt finished in black, and a black scabbard with a sling allowing it to be carried at the side. The pilum is made of wood with the spearhead painted to look like metal. The shield covered in black-painted canvas, with leather-and-wooden grips, and a plastic boss.
