A Slimer lighting stand-in head from Ivan Reitman's Ghostbusters II. A stand-in was used for lighting checks during production for use by the special effects team in the compositing of the transparent ghost Slimer into the scenes later.

Known as "Onionhead" during production of the first film, the fan-favorite ghost was later renamed Slimer. He quickly became a staple of the long-running franchise and appeared in sequels, cartoons, comics, video games, and merchandise.

This lot consists of one hollow foam Slimer head created by Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM) creature shop, which only worked on the second film, also creating the Scoleri Brothers. The head is made of heavy latex skin over polyfoam with harder urethane teeth and gums. It is painted in detail with green skin, yellow eyes with red pupils, and large yellow teeth with pink gums. The foam exhibits cracking most extensively in and around the eyes, but also in the teeth and underside of the head. Dimensions: 22" x 18.5" x 12" (56 cm x 47 cm x 30.5 cm)
