An Ectomobile "ECTO 1A" license plate from Ivan Reitman's Ghostbusters II. Returning to business to bust the ghosts overrunning New York City, the Ghostbusters unveiled their upgraded Ectomobile, the ECTO-1A.

This New York commercial license plate originated from an employee of The Burbank Studios, where parts of Ghostbusters II were shot. Since 1989, it has been in the possession of the consignor who received it as a gift after filming.

Made from white vacuum-formed plastic, the plate is stamped with the characters "ECTO 1A" with a Statue of Liberty logo placed between "ECTO" and "1A." The placement of this logo is a notable variation from the standard onscreen versions, which feature the statue before the plate number. This unusual logo placement identifies this original production plate as a rare variant, with photographic evidence from 1989 suggesting it was later used on the promotional ECTO-1A vehicle staged at various Hardee's locations during the film's promotional tour. Notably, the alignment of the Liberty logo, positioned closer to the "O" in "ECTO" than centered, matches to vintage images of the traveling car.
