This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, April 30th. The auction will begin at 3:00PM (BST) / 10:00 AM (EDT) / 7:00AM (PDT) and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace.

The first cut of "Careless Whisper", accompanied by four photographic prints and a collection of original negatives.

This early six minute recording was made at The Town House Studios in London, capturing the formative stages of what would become one of the most iconic pop ballads of the 1980s.

This vinyl cut comes with nine strips of photographic negatives depicting George Michael and Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley. Also included are four photographs of Michael, each printed on card and presented with card mounted borders. Dimensions (framed first cut): 43.5 cm x 43.5 cm x 1.5 cm (17.25" x 17.25" x 0.5")
