Sgt. Jerry Wooters' (Ryan Gosling) Stunt Colt Model 1903 Display from the 2013 Ruben Fleischer period film, Gangster Squad. In the film, a secret team of police officers led by Sgt. John O'Mara (Josh Brolin) and Sgt. Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling) assemble to take down the ruthless mob boss Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) in 1949 Los Angeles.
Made from hard plastic, this stunt version was cast from an actual Colt 1903 and includes original manufacturer markings on the sides of the weapon. Stunt weapons such as this piece are commonly used for distance shots where a hero piece is not needed; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences where the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
This item comes presented on a custom built wooden display stand with the films title built into the base. The title also can be illuminated with the simple press of a switch that is located on the backside of the display stand. The stunt gun measures approximately 6.5" x 1" x 4" (17cm x 3cm x 10cm) and remains in excellent used condition.
The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
