Thoros of Myr's (Paul Kaye) SFX flaming sword from the multi-Emmy-award-winning fantasy TV show Game of Thrones.

A leading member of the Brotherhood Without Banners guerrilla resistance, Thoros of Myr was a legendary red priest of the Lord of Light and known across the Seven Kingdoms for his flaming sword. This SFX aluminium sword was specifically designed for the scenes when the blade ignites, with gas pumped into the blade through pipes in the hilt. The hilt also features other wires and a power pack, although the ignition mechanism has been deactivated.

The exhibited production use on the prop indicates that the sword was used extensively for scenes where Thoros fought with it alight. Dimensions: 103 cm x 21.5 cm x 3.5 cm (40.5" x 8.5" x 1.5")
