A hero power-up alien Pod Gun used in the sci-fi spoof Galaxy Quest. The washed up stars from the once-popular sci-fi TV show Galaxy Quest – Jason Nesmith (Tim Allen), Alexander Dane (Alan Rickman), Gwen DeMarco (Sigourney Weaver), Fred Kwan (Tony Shalhoub) and Guy Fleegman (Sam Rockwell) – attend a sci-fi convention to do signings, only to meet a group of aliens who based their entire civilisation on the show. Can they save the Thermian race from the evil Sarris (Robin Sachs)?
Sarris’ men can be seen holding the guns throughout the film. This particular weapon was made for close ups and is an excellent piece from the movie. The weapon is made from cast resin and plastic with metal components, and has a rotating barrel operated via a flick switch on the side, and originally featured a red flashing light on the side, which was operated with a small push button on the pistol grip. This awesome looking weapon has a fake snake skin covering with unique distressing and paint finish. The weapon also has attachment points for a sling along the top.

Powered by four nine volt batteries, this weapon displays some wear to the barrel and snakeskin appliqué, however the piece remains in very good, working condition and comes with a display stand bearing the film’s title artwork.
