A set of Storm Shadow’s (Byung-huh Lee) Hero Linking Swords from Jon M. Chu’s 2013 action adventure, G.I. Joe: Retaliation. In the film, Storm Shadow uses these weapons when rescuing Cobra Commander before his eventual alliance with the G.I. Joes. These hero swords were created for use in close-ups when the two swords had to be seen being functional and connecting with each other.
The blades are made of polished metal and feature the Arashikage clan logo engraved in the lower portion of the blade and painted a deep red color. The guard of the both swords feature a distinct, flower-like shape with inner petals cut out. The handles feature resin white sides that have been wrapped with white leather strips in a tight braid, and a small silver button towards the end of the sword. On the longer sword, that button ejects the locking arm to join the swords together as a singular weapon. The swords show light wear from production, both with small blemishes and scratches on the blade and light damage to the braids on the handle. The pieces are still functional though and remain in great, production used condition.
