A costume worn in the 2003 sci-fi mini-series Children of Dune. In the wake of Paul Atreides' (Alec Newman) rise as emperor of the known universe, a wave of religious crusades have brought the universe to the brink of collapse. Steadily being consumed by his rising powers as the Kwisatz Haderach, the Atreides line – and the universe with – are in terrible danger.
This costume was worn in episode 3 of the mini-series by Farad'n Corrino (Jonathan Bruun), son of Princess Wensicia Corrino (Susan Sarandon) and heir to the imperial throne, which House Corrino once held. This outfit was seen being worn by Farad'n as he trains in the ways of the Bene Gesserit with Lady Jessica (Alice Krige), Paul's mother.
The costume consists of a set of blue tunic and trousers with a brown sash that is worn around the waist. The tunic and trousers are made in a silk-like material, with the tunic fastened with press studs and additional metal detailing running over the top. A belt with the House Corrino sigil and a blue sash are also included as part of the costume.
In very good production-used condition, the costume is labelled "Farad'n" internally, and has no sizes marked.
