British artist Tom Chantrell produced this interesting design, which pays homage to the B-movie horror film posters of the 1950s. The adaptation of H.G. Wells' novel The Food of the Gods (1976) is set on a remote Canadian island which becomes infested with giant vermin and creatures after they eat a strange edible substance. To accurately capture the chicken, which dominates a large portion of the design, Chantrell visited a local farm to take close-up photographs of the birds. This lot includes the incredible original hand-painted Quad artwork Chantrell produced in gouache on an illustration board, with an additional layer of printed text for the tagline and cast credits along the bottom. Completing the lot is the UK Quad.

Condition: Very Good to Near Mint

Artwork itself is in NM condition. The paper layer with the credits has some tape residue where the font elements have fallen off as well as some discolouration and paper loss. Quad is folded with excellent colours and a tiny tear on the bottom border and very minor cross-fold separation.
