Flash Gordon makes his final serial appearance in Universal's last installment of the trilogy. This listing includes lobby cards from Chapter 4 ("The Destroying Ray") and Chapter 11 ("Stark Treachery"). The Chapter 11 card features Flash Gordon and Dale Arden facing off against Ming the Merciless' agents in a spaceship. It is unrestored, with a small edge tear, minor wear on the upper border, a tiny stain on the upper right corner, and two small creases visible from the back. The Chapter 4 card shows Ming the Merciless revealing Dale Arden's potential fate. It is likewise unrestored and has light smudging near the upper left corner, a small crease and discoloration in the upper right corner, and a tiny nick on the bottom border.

"Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe" is a 12-chapter science-fiction serial produced by Universal. Directed by Ford Beebe and Ray Taylor and produced by Henry MacRae, the serial stars Buster Crabbe, Carol Hughes, Charles B. Middleton, Frank Shannon, and Roland Drew. The screenplay, written by George H. Plympton, Basil Dickey, and Barry Shipman, is based on Alex Raymond's Flash Gordon comic strip, syndicated by King Features Syndicate. Released in 12 weekly chapters for theatrical viewing, this serial marked the final installment of Universal's "Flash Gordon" trilogy, produced between 1936 and 1940.
