A Hawkman grenade from Mike Hodges' Flash Gordon. Flash Gordon (Sam J. Jones) and the Hawkmen wielded grenades in the climactic battle with The Emperor Ming (Max von Sydow), including to blow up his ship's control section.

This otherworldly, fiberglass grenade with scalloped design patterns sculpted throughout is hand-painted beige with black striping at center and affixed with metal mesh caps on the top and bottom. Its metal carrying handle is tied with a tag dated "8 June 1993" from a previous sale. The grenade exhibits several fractures, exposing the fiberglass around the handles, as well as tape residue on the striping and rusting metal from age. Dimensions: 6" x 4" x 4" (15.25 cm x 10.25 cm x 10.25 cm)
