King Arthur's (Sean Connery) welcoming ceremony costume from Jerry Zucker's action drama First Knight. King Arthur wore a blue medieval outfit as he welcomed his wife-to-be Guinevere (Julia Ormond) to Camelot. This lot comes from the archives of the Italian costume company Costumi d'Arte.

The costume comprises a tunic with a matching hood, a tabard, and a pair of trousers. The tunic has a velvet upper torso and sleeves, with the remaining outer surface made from polyester, and the inner lining made from nylon. "King Arthur - Sean Connery" is handwritten in black marker pen on the tunic's label. The tabard is made of a synthetic blended fabric with a nylon inner lining and features "King Arthur - Sean Connery" handwritten on a label in black marker. The hood is made of the same synthetic blended fabric. The trousers are unsized and made of velvet with a nylon inner lining. They are Velcro adjusted and feature a label in the waist that reads "King Arthur 1 - Sean Connery".

Additional Provenance: This lot comes from the archives of the famed Italian costume company Costumi d'Arte. The company has been supplying some of the biggest film productions in the world with costumes for over 100 years.
