Three printed bluelines of Firefox from Clint Eastwood's Firefox. In the film, Mitchell Gant (Clint Eastwood) was sent to Soviet territory to retrieve a high-tech MiG-31 jet fighter nicknamed Firefox capable of evading radar and being controlled by a neuralink. The fearsome aircraft was brought to life with a combination of models at several scales, including full-size, as well as pioneering bluescreen effects supervised by legendary effects artist John Dykstra.

These three bluelines - including two dated "81" and one labeled for effects company Apogee's Academy Award®-winning chief modelmaker, Grant McCune - were printed and distributed by production as references for the various models. The bluelines depict bird's eye, top, front, side, and back views of Firefox along with measurements relative to the models' real-world scale and annotations such as "Mock-Up: Firefox 'Prototype 2' Full Size" and "Missiles Stow in Engine Wall." The largest blueline exhibits staining, tearing, and punctures throughout, including a missing bottom right corner, while all three exhibit creasing from being rolled for storage.
