A poseable Mondoshawan head from Luc Besson’s sci-fi film The Fifth Element. The giant, well-meaning Mondoshawan creatures were seen at the beginning of the film when they arrived on Earth to retrieve The Fifth Element and its four counterparts.
Featuring two large orange eyes, the head is made from fibreglass and is covered in a gold mottled paint effect over a black base. The neck covering is made from grey rubber and contains a simple mechanism for positioning the head. This particular version of the head was built with side to side movement. The head’s mounting plate is also from the production and enabled the modular heads to be interchanged with the various Mondoshawan bodies on set as and when required for different shots. The head is fitted to a custom display stand. Dimensions: 41 cm x 31 cm x 50 cm (16” x 12½” x 19½”)
