The piece remains made for production and was likely made for the scene in which Sue (Jessica Alba) approaches a newsstand before being bombarded by fans.

The front cover features Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) as part of the cover story entitled "Dr. Reed Richards: Unlocking the DNA Mysteries." The cover is fixed to a real 2004 issue of American Scientist magazine, and while it displays minor signs of discoloration and wear from storage and age.
