A young Auguste Dupin used his Polaroid camera to snap a picture of the disturbed grave as he did investigation work in the episode "The Masque of the Red Death" (102), and later, after he met Roderick Usher, left him a card from his wallet if he ever wanted to talk about Fortunato in the episode "The Black Cat" (104). An older Auguste utilized his tape recorder to get Roderick's statement and confession before the old Usher house collapsed into rubble in the series' final episode "The Raven" (108).
