Buliwyf’s (Vladimir Kulich) Bloody Costume from the 1999 John Mctiernan directed action/adventure film, The 13th Warrior. In the film, Ahmed Ibn Fahdlan (Antonio Banderas) is an exiled Arab ambassador who encounters a band of Norse warriors he is destined to join.
This costume comes from a scene near the end of the film, in which Buliwyf defends the village from an onslaught of Wendol warriors. Constructed entirely from leather, this outfit includes a jacket, pants, and long boots. The jacket has been covered in stage blood from the battle, and includes his name stitched on the interior flap. The slacks, which also bear remnants of stage blood, feature a hidden zipper fly that is covered by a front flap with four buttons. Worn around the feet are knee length moccasin boots that have "#1" written on the inside.
Please note that this costume was custom made and does not feature any sizing information, however it does include a wardrobe label that notes it as a Hero costume. This piece displays minor wear from production use and intentional distressing, including a a tear in the side of the pants and areas where the leather has stiffened due to filming in the rain, however the costume remains in overall good worn condition.
