Ava's (Alicia Vikander) "#1" humanoid costume from Alex Garland's Ex Machina. Ava, a highly intelligent android created by tech company CEO Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac), wore a mesh costume to appear human.

For complex CGI effects shots revealing Ava's internal metal skeleton, transparent sections were added to her costumes. The film was a critical hit and won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects at the 88th Academy Awards.

This custom-made jumpsuit is made from sectioned silver-coloured mesh with grey spandex lining, multiple zipper closures, and decorative strips of textured and metal-studded black rubber. A strip of tape on the interior is hand-marked "Alicia #1" in black ink. The costume comes displayed on a custom-made mannequin. Dimensions (display): 37 cm x 52 cm x 158 cm (14.5" x 20.5" x 62.25")
