A hand-illustrated Tom Sullivan poster concept artwork for Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead. Sullivan put together several poster concepts for the film while the project was still under the working title "The Book of the Dead."

This lot, from the personal collection of special effects artist Tom Sullivan, consists of one sheet of paper with artwork hand-illustrated in pen and marker depicting two versions of a hand reaching out of a cellar hatch, one skull on an open book, and the title "The Book of the Dead." It includes the markings "Sullivan 8/15/79" and "8/18/79 T.S." The paper exhibits yellowing from age, brown staining along the edges, and some creasing. Dimensions: 11" x 14" (28 cm x 35.75 cm)
