A Deadite tongue casting from director Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead. Deadites were a type of undead parasitic demonic spirits that fed on the souls of living creatures to possess their bodies.

This lot, from the personal collection of special effects artist Tom Sullivan, features one foam tongue casting and a piece of paper marked "The Evil Dead Deadite tongue casting for stop motion finale". The long, pink foam tongue casting is ribbed and features tan parts and small areas of whitish color. The pink foam tongue has an annulated, worm-like form, with a ribbed texture and a tapered, flat tip, and exhibits slight separation at the side seam and minor erosion of the foam material. Dimensions: 10" x 1.5" x 1" (25.4 cm x 3.81 cm x 2.54 cm)
