This poster, although marked with "Now on video," is actually from the original theatrical release of the movie in Britain. Palace Pictures took an innovative approach in that country by releasing the film simultaneously on both video and in theaters, as a strategy to combat the peak of video piracy at the time. This poster is rare and 100% original; no other designs were created for this UK theatrical release. This particular example is folded and shows some edge wear, with a few small tears along the top border and occasional crimping. Overall, this poster is in excellent unrestored condition.

Sam Raimi's controversial and hugely successful debut: a low-budget but hugely inventive horror romp, in which five students - including Bruce Campbell's Ash Williams - accidentally unleash a malevolent supernatural force while staying at a remote cabin in the woods. The film spawned a series, still going today with the release of "Evil Dead Rise" (2023).
