Our expert's notes

Michael Groom’s (Thomas M. Wright) Base Camp costume from the Working Title adventure biopic Everest. Groom wore his costume throughout the beginning of the film during the climb to Base Camp and the scenes that take place there.

The lot consists of a khaki and black The North Face fleece jacket (size small), a yellow long-sleeved T-shirt (size large), a pair of black North Coast trousers (size W34 L31), a cream Adventure Consultants cap, a blue fabric waist pouch and a pair of green and black Scarpa boots (size 44). Accompanying the costume is a water resistant Casio Illuminator digital watch that displays a “Mike Groom” label on the strap. Labels are adhered to the inside of the jacket, top and trousers also reading “Mike Groom.” Showing minor discolouration to the cap, the costume remains in very good production-used condition.
