A light-up, functional nail gun with two nail bolts from Paul W.S. Anderson's Event Horizon. After the Lewis and Clark ship sustained damage, rescue technician Cooper (Richard T. Jones) and pilot Smith (Sean Pertwee) repaired the outside hull, where Cooper used a nail gun to patch pockets that leaked gas into space. Later, Dr. Weir (Sam Neill) used a nail gun to shoot at Cooper through the bridge window, broke it, and was jettisoned into space by the decompression.
Event Horizon developed a cult following years after its release and has impacted pop culture as it's been referenced in other work, such as Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, Stephen Norrington's Blade, Barry Levinson's Sphere, and Ben Stiller's Tropic Thunder, among others. After the film was cut per Paramount executive orders for public release, Anderson became interested in creating a director's cut but discovered the excised footage could not be recovered. The film is considered to have lost footage as a result, including cut scenes of the massacre which was considered too gory for audiences.
