A design test print of a poster for John Carpenter's Escape from New York. Multiple posters for the film featured renowned posterist Barry E. Jackson's now-classic artwork depicting Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) escorting President John Harker (Donald Pleasance) away from the Statue of Liberty's decapitated head, including the popular US theatrical one-sheet.

This rare early test print for the poster is printed in black-and-white, taped to board, and covered with a sheet of acetate. The artwork in the print differs slightly from the final artwork, with such distinctive alterations as Harker staring straight ahead instead of to his left, two vagrants absent from the foreground, and less visibility of Liberty's neck in addition to missing credits. The print exhibits some discoloration along its edges from age. Dimensions: 17" x 28" (43.25 cm x 71.25 cm)
