A mask for a surgery victim from John Carpenter's sci-fi adventure Escape from LA. This piece was created for use by a background actor in the Surgeon General of Beverly Hills' (Bruce Campbell) lair. The slip latex mask is painted in great detail to appear as though the character had been subjected to a face change, with areas on the front of the face created in foam latex appliances. Small sections of black string act as stitching along the edges of the face. A tear runs up the back of the neck to allow for easy dressing and removing. This mask features wear and dirt residue but remains in good condition. Dimensions on base: 10" x 9" x 15" (25 cm x 23 cm x 38 cm)
