A rare set of handwritten lyrics by Eric Clapton for an unreleased song titled "Sweet Eloraine". This lot was originally sold as part of the Pattie Boyd collection auctioned in 2024. English model and photographer Pattie Boyd was married to George Harrison but then married Clapton and was the inspiration for songs by both musicians.

Boyd was famously the inspiration for Clapton's song "Layla".

The lyrics for "Sweet Eloraine" may have been inspired by his relationship with Boyd, and it is possible Clapton used the nickname "Eloraine" for Boyd. The words are written in blue ink on the reverse of a torn USA tour schedule dated 12 and 13 November 1976. The song is credited to Clapton and songwriting partner Marcy Levy. The paper exhibits fold lines, minor staining and a staple hole in one corner. The lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Boyd, a letter of authenticity from Tracks Ltd and a Roger Epperson Authentication Ltd. certificate of authenticity. Dimensions: 16.75 cm x 21.5 cm (6.5" x 8.5")
