An Incomplete Flash Gun from Gavin Hood’s 2012 sci-fi adaptation, Ender’s Game. In the film, Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is recruited to lead the International Fleet against the alien race known as Formics. These guns were made for use by the young cadets when training in the zero gravity Battle Room. The stun guns attached to the thigh of their Flash Suits via magnets and were used to freeze their opponents.

This gun is made largely of molded and 3D printed resin pieces. The piece remains unfinished by production, with no light coverings or magnet on the left side and the battery compartment of the gun incomplete. For these reasons, it is likely that this particular gun was an early assembly test. The gun measures 10” x 7” x 1” (25 cm x 18 cm x 3 cm) and remains in good condition.
